Be There
Be the capsule in my memory ,
Be the crevice in the side of my brain ,
Be that railing over that balcony when I need balance and restraint .
Be my whole , when I am half myself ,
Be my reader as I am a book left alone on a shelf .
Be my waiter , wait for me till I waver ,
Sit me down elegantly next to the salt shaker .
Be my peace of mind when this battle gets high ,
Be the calming pull from this explosive mine .
Be my dreams , be in them ,
Be my continuation from my ending through my system .
Be a promise that others couldn’t be ,
Be that promise that others couldn’t keep .
Be that glue to seal that rip in the sheet ,
Be that tissue when I cry and heave .
Be there for support like crutches for a weak knee ,
Just be there for me , your all I need .
